There's nothing better than when someone comes in having a bad day and leaves feeling relaxed and happy. I train in vibrational and sound therapies because I want to help people relieve stress, pain, and anxiety. I love the holistic aspect of our salon. We avoid harsh chemicals, making it healthier for us and our clients, and our commitment to sustainability means we are taking care of Mother Earth. When I am not at the salon, I love being in my yard with my dog, laying in the hammock, or hunting for upcycling projects at flea markets. My family means the world to me.

Clients tell me they enjoy our chats and my big smile, and I'm known for giving an amazing shampoo massage that leaves you feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. My passion is to help you feel beautiful inside and out, so you leave the salon with a heart full of joy and positive vibes.

I believe we should embrace the hair we have, giving it a little TLC and gentle direction. I don't want anyone losing precious sleep overworking their hair like I did in the '80s to get that perfect Jersey style.

I've always felt a connection with nature. I love just sitting under the trees with my bare feet in the grass. The more we connect with nature, the less alone we feel, and I think it's important to do our part to honor and preserve the environment.

I've got a sensitive nose, so I'm not a fan of strong, toxic odors. I prefer natural scents, like lemongrass infused with real lemongrass. I've worked in NJ, FL, and VA, watching trends come and go, but they are always tied together by the same principles. When I'm not at the salon, you'll find me reading, knitting, crocheting, crafting, or cooking.

I love making people feel good about themselves and enhancing their natural beauty, and that goes hand in hand with the tree hugger in me. Tossing foils and using harsh chemicals really bugs me. I truly believe the salon industry is working at a higher level these days, with more training and professionalism, which is why Enlightened Styles is such a great fit for me. I don't go to work to be a stylist, I AM a stylist, and I'm so happy to be part of the Enlightened Styles family.

Hi, I'm Alyssa! I started my career in social work, supporting individuals experiencing housing insecurity. I have always had a heart for helping people, but after becoming a mom and moving to Fauquier County, I realized I needed a new path, one that let me serve others while protecting my own well-being. That is when I found esthetics, and I fell in love with it. Now I get to help people feel confident, cared for, and connected to themselves through holistic skincare. For me it is not just about facials. It is about creating a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and beautiful in their own skin. I believe everything is connected: what we put on our skin affects our whole body, and what we choose as consumers impacts our community and the planet.
